Welcome to the weblog of political commentator Colette von Hessen, conservative-leaning libertarian (or libertarian-leaning conservative, if you prefer). A lifelong Republican, Colette is fed up with what passes for the GOP today. She hopes to encourage discussion of the need for the Republican party to return to its fiscally conservative, non-interventionist roots. She has had the pleasure of meeting prominent conservative and libertarian figures such as Charlton Heston, Ron Paul, Colin Powell, and Newt Gingrich, among others.
