Enter Stage Left: The Ron Paul Democrats

May 20, 2007 · 4 Comments

For those who are following Ron Paul’s presidential campaign, it is becoming more and more apparent that many of his supporters are people who say “I have never voted Republican in my life but you have my vote, Ron Paul.” The sentiment is echoed all over the place. Who was the last presidential candidate who had this ability to attract lifelong Democrats to his campaign? You guessed it: the other Ron, and those supporters from the Democrat party were referred to as “Reagan Democrats.” Momentum is building for Ron Paul. Bring on the Ron Paul Democrats.

Canucks Taking Notice of Ron Paul

May 9, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Before you get upset about my labelling our friendly neighbors to the north “Canucks,” please note that I live very close to the border, my favorite band hails from across the River, and my favorite beer is Labatt Blue (note that this quasi-sacriligious remark comes from a German-American who has lived in the Old Country and holds a degree in German). In short, I’ve earned it. Besides, I’m a fan of Québecoise cuisine.

Anyway, Canada’s own National Post has joined in at least reporting on the Ron Paul Revolution:

Pretty cool, eh?

Google Caught in the Act? "Ron Paul Effect" Goes from 40 to 14,000 Results in the Space of 5 Hours

May 9, 2007 · 2 Comments

Consider this: at 4:30 A.M. today Google search results for “ron paul effect” gave 40 results (yes, as in the two-digit number), with the original ABC Rick Klein article nowhere in sight. Five hours later, there are 14,000 results (yes, as in the 5-digit number) with the Klein article at the top spot.

Perhaps a more tech-savvy person could explain this phenomenon. Or could Google be joining ABC’s efforts to squash Ron Paul supporters’ voices?

ABC just can’t get enough of its anti-Paul crusade: can’t they see that this will only get even more people interested in Ron Paul? Consider this: at 4:30 A.M. Google search results for “ron paul” gave 40 results (yes, as in the two-digit number), with the original Rick Klein article nowhere in sight.
