ABC just can’t get enough of its anti-Paul crusade: can’t they see that this will only get even more people interested in Ron Paul? Consider this: at 4:30 A.M. Google search results for “ron paul” gave 40 results (yes, as in the two-digit number), with the original Rick Klein article nowhere in sight. Five hours later, there are 14,000 results (yes, as in the 5-digit number) with the Klein article at the top spot.

ABC News Buries Ron Paul Story
May 9, 2007 · 2 Comments
ABC, now being labelled “Already Been Censored” by some, apparently has buried its own Ron Paul story. As of early afternoon on Tuesday, May 8, there were 357 posts left in the comments section. Most were devoid of any “profanity, personal attacks, or antisocial behavior,” all specifically prohibited by ABC’s comments page. However, in the early evening hours of Tuesday, May 8, the comments started systematically disappearing. At one point the comments were down to 4 posts, later dwindling to a sole comment. People leaving comments mused that readers should hurry and read their posts before they were deleted. Strangely, though, the comments began to stay put.
I had noticed that, earlier in the day, there had curiously been no mention whatsoever of this article on the entire Politics section of ABC News. With 357 comments appearing at one point in shorter than a 24- hour span of time, something was surely rotten in the southernmost Scandinavian land. ABC had articles up on this section with 11 comments being touted as “Hot Topics.”Somehow, though, ABC did not consider “The Ron Paul Effect” by Rick Klein to be a “hot topic.”
Why did the comments reappear all of a sudden? Did the ABC deleters go on a dinner break? Unlikely. My guess is that they want to placate Ron Paul supporters by giving them the illusion of having their comment space returned to them, while having quietly buried the piece.
I also noticed that the “most e-mailed stories” were no longer being linked on the Ron Paul article page. It had been there earlier. I have tried googling “ron paul” + abc to see if the article came up prominently in the results. I even tried googling “ron paul effect” (the very title of Mr. Klein’s article), only to discover that it is mysteriously absent from the results. I have a feeling the “savvy” Paul supporters will be emboldened all the more after this move on the part of ABC.
